Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being awed by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to grow. In the end, she began to write the music she composed herself. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote could be used to not be famous for her, but instead to inspire people to see the value of themselves and their impact in the world, she started performing them publicly. She started playing piano when she was only six and began writing music at the age of nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family members until she turned fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. Aurora says she loves creating music. For her, the songs she creates are her way of feeling any thing.
