Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently fights in the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament, beating Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous choice. Antonina continued to win and received a silver award in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and then a gold in 2011 as well as the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in with her debut in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012 and The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She took the fight by unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was made in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She won by TKO in the second and continued to beat her next two fights at the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. She was able to earn an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to work on her kickboxing. She then was able to make her return in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match, followed by a win over Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko was a fighter against Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first bout. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this match. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
